Ancilla Soccer Places on All-Tournament Team

DONALDSON, IN- The Ancilla College men’s soccer team places three athletes on the 2014 NJCAA All-Tournament Team.

Of the eleven athletes selected, three Chargers graced the 2014 NJCAA All-Team Tournament list just days after the Region XII men’s soccer tournament in Grand Haven, Michigan. Sophomore Andrew Smith and freshmen Dayle Robertson and Antonio Luna represented Ancilla College on the All-Tournament team; all had previously registered on the First Team All-MCCAA list just a couple days ago as well.

Coach Adam Hall comments just how please he is with his athletes’ accomplishments, “I am happy for the guys to get recognized for their efforts and abilities at the Tournament.  The guys have represented our program well and it’s always nice when other coaches reward our players with their votes”

The Chargers shutout Cincinnati State 3-0 in their semi-final game last weekend, but were ultimately defeated by Schoolcraft 1-0 with the assistance of two additional overtimes in the Region XII tournament finals.

Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associate’s Degree and eight athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
