Charger Volleyball Falls to Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MI – The Ancilla volleyball team lost to Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Conference rivals Kalamazoo Valley Community College Tuesday night 22-25, 19-25, and 15-25, dropping their record to 8-8.

Natalee Walters, a Westville High School native, led the Chargers on the defensive end with 17 digs. Freshman, Victoria Bush and sophomore Samantha Albers both added three blocks for the night. Offensively, Mendon High School graduate Jackie Friel had 13 assists and freshman Jill Brown had five kills.

Ancilla coach Lana Singleton commented on the night, “It was a disappointing night. I felt like we just didn’t seem ready to play.”

The Lady Chargers will play home on Thursday to take on the Jets of Jackson College. Game time is set for 6:30p.m.
