Boys B-ball: Glenn beats Bremen in NSC match

Jake Strong scored 17 points to lead the Falcons to a 74-43 victory over Bremen on Saturday.

The Falcons concluded the first half 42-16 on the heels of a 35-8 run.  Strong got the Falcons off to a great start, putting 11 points on the scoreboard in the first period.

Joel Hadden put two three-pointers on the board and scored 10 points total. Two other players also scored in the double digits for the Falcons. Alec Runyan put up 11 points. Also chipping in for the Falcons were Drew McDonald (6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), Calvin Kretchmer (6 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal), Levi Schleg (6 points, 1 rebound, 1 block), Matt Strong (5 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Chase Bair (4 points, 5 rebounds), Jon Troyer (3 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Zach Combes (3 points, 4 rebounds) and Sam Weiss (2 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals). Runyan was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up six rebounds, one steal and two blocks.

The Falcons finished the game with 42 rebounds (15 offensive/27 defensive), three blocks and nine steals.
