Trista Vela 4/11/15
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Trista Vela, a member of the Softball team at Culver Community High School.
Trista led her team to their first win under new Head Coach Brian Hamman which broke a long losing streak.
The Cavaliers beat arch-rival Argos 8-4 as Trista played a flawless first base with 8 put outs. At the plate, the sophomore went 3-for-4 and drove in 2 runs as her team won their first game since the 2013 season.
Trista is the daughter of Donna Vela.
