Boys B-ball: Glenn wins the weekend finished by victory over Mishawaka

John Glenn Basketball Coach Travis Hannah was pleased with his teams effort Saturday night after a 56-48 victory over Mishawaka.

“We beat a couple of really good teams this weekend. But we are 3-1 with a lot of season left.  I liked how our kids kept staying aggressive offensively (against Mishawaka).

Jake Strong’s 18 points propelled the Falcons.  Claiming a 21-12 lead at the half, the Falcons pulled ahead early in the game. With 23 points in the fourth quarter, the Falcons locked in their lead.

Strong paved the way for the Falcons, making 71% (5-for-7) of shots attempted while also sinking 78% (7-for-9) of free throws attempted.
Calvin Kretchmer notched two three-pointers and scored 12 points total. Two other players also scored in the double digits for the Falcons. Alec Runyan put up 13 points. Also chipping in for the Falcons were Drew McDonald (4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block), Zach Combes (4 points, 1 rebound, 3 steals), Joel Hadden (3 points) and Levi Schleg (2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal).
The Falcons finished the game with 18 rebounds (seven offensive/11 defensive), two blocks and 11 steals.
