PHS Senior honored as a finalist for special scholarship

It is with great pride that the Sports Medicine Department at Plymouth High School would like to announce that Mackenzie Schuler was selected as a finalist for the 2015 Jack Cramer Scholarship by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

The NATA selects a nominated individual from each of its 10 districts for a single scholarship that is awarded on a national level.  Mackenzie was picked as the District 4 representative by the members of the selection committee.  District 4 represents the six state area of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

The 10 district finalists are then sent to the NATA head office where a final selection is made to award the scholarship.  Although Mackenzie was not selected as the scholarship winner at this stage, it is a great achievement for her and represents the quality and success of the programs that she is involved in at Plymouth High School.

Mackenzie has been a student athletic training aide for 4 years at PHS.  She has assisted the PHS athletic trainer with coverage of various sports including football, baseball, and wrestling.  She has spent many hours in the athletic training facility at the school learning and getting valuable experience that will help lead her into a career in the sports medicine field.

Please help us in recognizing Mackenzie Schuler for this accomplishment.
