Boys B-ball: SB St. Joe defends home court against Plymouth

History has shown beating South Bend St. Joseph on the road has been a near impossible feat for many Michiana teams.  Tuesday night’s visit for Plymouth held true in a 60-55 loss the Indians.

Despite being 1-0 at St. Joe, Pilgrim Head Coach, Ryan Bales knew this game was going to be his undefeated teams toughest challenge yet.  It was a 18-3 second quarter win by St. Joe that really proved to be a difference maker by games end.

Trailing 31-16 at halftime, the Pilgrims made adjustments sparked by a halftime challenge by Head Coach Ryan Bales, the Pilgrims trailed by just 5 points at 37-31 SB. St. Joe at the end of three quarters.

Tyler England’s inside presence was felt by the Indians in the second half, where he scored 13 of his 17 points to help his team stay within arms reach of the home team.

Plymouth could never get the tie in the final seconds of the fourth quarter which led to their first loss of the season.

Plymouth now 3-1 will head to Peru Friday night.
