MARIAN 71, BREMEN 34:              At Bremen

On Tuesday,tIt was too much Mishawaka Marian’s Jair Rogers who finished with 21 points in route to a 71-34 win for the Knights.  Offense was hard to come by all night long for the Lions shooting in the low 30’s by nights end.

BI-COUNTY HONORS

Chelsea Huppert and Ben Nick were nominated for the prestigious W.B. Hawkins Award in association with the Teachers Credit Union Bi-County Basketball Tournament.  Chelsea, Ben and their parents were presented to a full house during Saturday’s championship games at LaVille High School along with two representatives from each of the other seven participating schools.  Nominees were recognized for academic achievement, teamwork, competitiveness, sportsmanship, ethical behavior, community service, extra-curricular activities and leadership both on and off the court.  Ben Nick was selected as the male recipient of the 2016 W.B. Hawkins Award and will receive a $1000 scholarship from TCU.  Congratulations Ben and Chelsea and thanks for representing BHS!

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Bremen Lady Lions fell to Mishawaka  Marian 45-35.   A slow start to the second half proved to be the difference in the loss.   Bremen drops to 9-12 (3-8 NIC) and faces Jimtown Friday night.

The Lions went 4-1 and finished in 2nd Place today at the Bremen Superdual.
