Culver season come to close despite great road effort vs undefeated Whiting

Two first quarter touchdowns proved to be too much to overcome for the Cavaliers Friday Night in a 21-13 loss to undefeated Whiting at Oiler Field.

Whiting sophomore QB Stuart Glascow went 6 for 11 for 151 passing yards and a pair of scoring throws lead the Oilers in their Sectional Opener against the Cavaliers.

All of Whiting’s scoring came in the first half as the Cavalier defense pitched a shutout in the second half.  The Cavs offense just couldn’t muster consistent drives in that second half to give themselves a chance to stay even.  A couple of key interceptions by Whiting kept the Cavs from getting close.

Culver finishes 2-8 on the season.
