Chargers Remain Dominant at Home
PLYMOUTH, IN – Ancilla’s men’s basketball team walked away with another victory last night over Andrews University 63-49. The Chargers took down the Cardinals of Andrews University Thursday, November 13th in yet another home court defeat, this done in dominant fashion on both ends of the ball. Several Chargers posted exceptional performances last night, both offensively and defensively. Freshmen Everett Norman and Travon Brackett hit 17 points and 15 points respectively, with Norman also checking in with seven rebounds. Following close behind was sophomore Eric Waddell with ten added points, but also six assists, which tied him with teammate Juwan Johnson. Sophomore Mike Wickliff led the team in total rebounds by grabbing nine on the night. Head coach Aaron Butcher was pleased with the entire team effort in last night’s win, “We got a solid contribution from everyone last tonight. We got 24 points from our bench which was a key stat. We’ve got a week until our next game so it will be nice to spend some time on individual development.” The Chargers will continue their home court stretch as they host the University of Saint Francis JV Friday, November 21st. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associate’s Degree and eight athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
