Chargers Still Dominant at Home
PLYMOUTH, IN – Ancilla’s men’s basketball team asserted yet another home court victory Monday night over Bethel College JV.
The Chargers moved to 5-2 overall, while still remaining at a spotless 4-0 at home, with their win Monday November 25th against the Pilots of Bethel College 104-62. Leading Ancilla was sophomore Mike Wickliff, recording 24 points. Sophomore teammates Juwan Johnson, posting 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists, and Eric Waddell, registering 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists of his own, each demonstrated strong offensive play. Freshman Travon Brackett followed close behind Waddell with 14 points in the victory.
Head coach Aaron Butcher comments, “We got off to a slow start and the first 25 minutes we did not play the way we wanted to play. To the guys’ credit, we responded and played with a lot of energy in the last 15 minutes; holding them to just 36% from the field in the second half, while shooting 70% ourselves really opened the game up for us.”
The Chargers will continue their home stretch as they host Edison Community College Saturday November 29th at 3:00 PM.
Ancilla College, part of The Center at Donaldson, offers 18 Associate’s Degree and eight athletic programs. Since 1937, the College has been a sponsored ministry of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and is located two miles south of US 30 on Union Road near Plymouth, Indiana.
