Argos Girls falls in a close one vs Morgan Twp.

The Argos Lady Dragons started the game off hot, but the second quarter slowed the Lady Dragons to eventually see a 37-30 loss to Morgan Twp.

Argos came out fairly strong missing just a couple of shots in the first quarter to carry an 8-7 lead.  Morgan Twp. then turned up the ball pressure which led to blown possessions and only 4 points in the 2nd quarter.  By halftime Morgan Twp. regained the lead 19-13.

A quick start of Morgan Twp. in the 3rd quarter left Argos playing catch up to the end of the ballgame.  The Lady Cherokees put up 12 points in the 3rd frame to lead 30-19 after 3 quarters.

A great comeback attempt fell short for Argos as they outscored Morgan Twp. 11-7 in the final frame but it wasn’t enough in the loss.

Argos was lead by Macie Stryker’s 7 points.  Courtney Dunlap added 6 points in the loss.
