Wyatt Spence 11/8/14

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Wyatt Spence, a member of the football team at Winamac High School.

Wyatt Helped lead the Warriors to a solid 34-14 win over previously undefeated Whiting with eye-popping performances on both sides of the ball.

The 6-2 195 pound lineman was all over the field from his Defensive End spot, getting in on 8 tackles which included 1 tackle for loss, a 15-yard sack and a huge hit on the leading rusher in Northern Indiana.

From his offensive tackle spot, he anchored the left side of the line, leading the Warriors to 194 yards on the ground, 207 in the air, and did not give up a sack all night.

The veteran Senior was plagued by injuries his first 2 varsity seasons, but has made the most of his opportunities as a Senior.

An outstanding student, Wyatt was recently inducted into the National Honor Society..

Wyatt is the son of Charlene and Rob Spence.
