5/23/15 Mickella Hardy
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Mickella Hardy, a member of the Girls Track Team at Culver High School.
Mickella won two Sectional championships and advanced to Regional action in three events during competition at Rochester this week.
The veteran Senior won the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.18 and took second place in the 200 with a time of 27.62, just 3 tenths of a second from first.
In her premier event, the shot put, in which she finished 15th at the State meet as a Junior, Mickella threw 38 feet 8 inches to win that event.
An outstanding student, Mickella also helped lead the Lady Cavalier basketball team to a Northern State Conference championship and played co-ed soccer, as well.
Mickella is the daughter of Heather Roberts.
