Lady Pilgrims split Brebeuf Shootout
The Plymouth Lady Pilgrims traveled to Indianapolis Saturday to participate in the Indianapolis Brebeuf Shoot-Out. The Pilgrims lost the first game to 3A #5 Norwell 66-48, and then defeated host Brebeuf Saturday night 50-46.
Against Norwell, the Pilgrims started strong leading after the first quarter 15-13, and only trailing 33-28 at halftime. Norwell outscored the Pilgrims 33-20 in the second half to secure the victory.
Alli Andrews lead the Pilgrims with 19 points and five assists. Lanae Singleton added seven rebounds.
In Game 2, Brebeuf lead 21-18 at halftime. The Pilgrims outscored Brebeuf 12-3 in the 3rd quarter and held on for the victory in the fourth quarter.
Halle Reichard lead the effort with 19 points, three assists, and four rebounds. Cece Robinson added 12 points and six rebounds.
The split moves the Lady Pilgrims to 7-8 on the year. Next up is Elkhart Memorial next Saturday. JV tip-off is set for noon at The Rock. A game to be heard on MAX 98.3FM.
