Plymouth drops final regular season game
The Lady Pilgrims traveled to Middlebury Thursday night to finish their 2015-2016 regular season. The Pilgrims lost to Northridge 51-37.
The Pilgrims got off to a slow start trailing the Raiders 16-7 at the end of one quarter and 28-18 at halftime. The Pilgrims made a run in the third quarter holding the Raiders to just six points. They only trailed 34-29 heading into the all important fourth quarter. The Raiders hit their free throws and pulled away from the Lady Pilgrims late in the game.
Sophomore Alli Andrews lead the Pilgrims with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Nicole Horvath added 9 points and 8 rebounds.
The Pilgrims finish their season with a 9-13 record heading into the sectional next week at South Bend Clay. The Pilgrims open sectional play Wednesday night against the host team in game two starting at approximately 7:30. The Pilgrims defeated Clay earlier this week in overtime.
The JV Pilgrims finished their season on a sour note losing for the second time this year to Northridge 30-28. Kenzie Quissell lead the Pilgrims with 11 points. Wryanne Leed hauled down 9 rebounds. The JV Pilgrims finish their season with a sparkling 20-2 record.
