Laville Girls Soccer ready for the season to begin
LAKEVILLE, IN. – As the LaVille Girls Soccer team concludes the first official week of practice, the Lancers are ready to improve on a 10 – 8 overall record from a year ago.
Junior Lindsey Aschenbrenner returns as the leading scorer after collecting 18 goals in 2015. Junior Aryn Eash also returns after dishing out eight assists a year ago. Other Lancers with goals from a year ago include sophomore Kelsey Aschenbrenner, sophomore Micah Edwards, junior Madison Donahue, Eash, junior Kamryn Gorka, junior Haylie Cox, and sophomore Michelle Zeiger.
The Lancer defense, including senior goal keeper Karissa Foster, look improve on the six shutouts last season. Foster made 36 saves to lead the defense inside the keeper box. Edwards also had three saves.
Foster, along with senior Kailey Gardner and senior Morgan Leed have been named captains for the coming fall season.
The girls soccer season officially opens at the Argos Scrimmage, Saturday August 13 at 3 pm.
