Ancilla signs a NEW mens basketball player
DONALDSON, IN – Dut Mabok from Southport High School, recently signed his National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play basketball at Ancilla College.
Mabok is a 6’10” Center for the Cardinals playing under head coach Kyle Simpson where he has earned his varsity letter two years in a row. He has also been a member of Indiana Elite Central under head coach John McCloud.
“We are very excited to have Dut with us. He is a high character kid and embodies the type of person we want in this program,” said Ancilla head coach Aaron Butcher. “Coach Simpson and his staff have done a great job developing Dut and we think he has a very high ceiling. We look forward to seeing him in the blue and gold.”
“I like the small school size,” said Mabok when asked why he felt Ancilla was the right choice for him. “The basketball team is good and I look forward to being a part of it.”
Dut is the son of Jody and Katie Matthews. While attending Ancilla, he plans to complete his General Studies.
