MAX 98.3 HS SPORTS RESULTS for 12-6-16

HS SPORTS….a lot of area teams in action….starting with:

GIRLS B-BALL:
JG Lady Falcons improve to 9-1 on the season (4-1) in the NIC, with a win over the Bremen Lions. Mariah Plunkett and Kyannah Stull paced the scoring with 18 pts and 17 pts respectively. Glenn ramped up their defense as well allowing Bremen’s Maggie Whitinger, Erin Coffel and Karlee Feldman only 7 points each. Bremen falls to 6-4 (3-3) on the season.

#2-1A Argos goes to 9-0 on the season with a solid 67-28 win over Pioneer. Courtney Dunlap finished with 27 pts & 10 rebounds on the night.

Laville moved to 5-3 on the season, thanks to a 61-13 thrashing of Elkhart Christian Academy.
Jessica Tuttle scored 22 pts in the win for Laville.

ON THE BOYS SIDE….
Our MAX GOW featured two teams having a good start to the season. By games end, it was the Argos Dragons getting a road win over the Lancers 65-57. Drew Bollenbacher led all scorers with 27 pts, Vinny Stone added 25 in the win. Laville was led by Luke Beehler’s 20 pts. Argos now 3-1….Laville with an identical record.

Plymouth was on the road facing Knox. This game came down to the wire, with Plymouth
eventually winning 48-47. 19 pts for Plymouth’s Cam Dennie. Knox was led by Brandon Binkley’s 19 in the loss. Plymouth now 3-1 on the season. Knox falls to 2-3.
The Culver Cavaliers got a 20 pt performance from Nate Carnagie to upend North Miami 64-33. The Cavs move to 3-1 on the season.

Triton thumps SB Career Academy 79-38. Grant Johnson had a night, scoring 23 pts in the Triton win. Trojans pick up their first win of the season.

Winamac over Morgan Twp. 61-53. Caleb Smith, Luke Pugh and Brody Brumm had 13 points apiece for the Warriors.

WRESTLING:
The Plymouth Rockies invaded Warsaw last night, a won 52-27. This ups the Rockie Grapplers record to 9-2 (2-0). One of the most exciting matches of the evening had Plymouth’s freshman, Jordan Howard overcome a 4-0 deficit to pin his opponent.
