CMA’s Hockey Defenseman signs with the Rebels of the NAHL
The Aston Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of Culver Academies’ defenseman Collin Heinold to a NAHL Tender contract for the 2017-18 season.
The Charleston, SC native, 18, played 36 games this year for Culver’s 18U prep team, who play in the Independent/Prep AAA League. He had 12 points on the season (9 goals and 3 assists). The 6’1”, 201 lb. defenseman had a +12 plus/minus ratio. The right-handed shot blueliner is known for his bomb of a slapshot.
“Being tendered with the Aston Rebels brings me much excitement for where my hockey career has brought me and where it will take me in the future” stated Heinold. “Playing on one of the best NAHL teams makes me feel proud to be a Rebel and I am very excited to become part of a new brotherhood. Aston is a great opportunity for me in the next step of my hockey career to take me where I want to go and help me reach goals and dreams that I have set for myself for as long as I can remember” concluded Heinold.
“We are very happy to sign Collin” stated Rebels head coach Joe Coombs. “He is a very talented player with a cannon of a shot. We expect him to be a key member of our team and power play unit” concluded Coombs.
