Plymouth Girls Golf Results
The Plymouth girls golf team played in the Western Invitational on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Kokomo finishing 15th with a 431.
Today’s field included #1 ranked Westfield, who won today’s title with a 304. Today’s Medalist from Westfield fired a 71. Seven, top 20, ranked teams competed.
The day proved to be a record setting event for each of our ladies. EACH player recorded a season low score, four of the girls notched career best rounds! Senior Jennah Nifong led the team with a career best 98. Her front nine score of 46 was her best 9 holes in competition. Junior Brittney Klotz recorded a 48 on the front earning a career best 101. Senior Emily Cochern was steady all day carding a 110. Sophomores Olivia Waymouth 122 and Sarah Youngs 125 showed flashes of great play and significant improvement. Both Olivia and Sarah set new career bests for themselves today as well. Each of the ladies reduced strokes off their season best score – Brittney 1, Jennah 15, Emily 6, Olivia 4, Sarah 4. As a team, we improved a remarkable 40 strokes from our previous season best!
All around the day was a huge success for each of the girls. Everyone closed their round on a high note and when scores were tallied there was plenty to celebrate! The positive vibe and growth mindset continues Monday when we host local foes Bremen and Tippecanoe Valley at Pretty Lake.
