Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 1-9-2021

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the week for this week is Miranda Wozniak, a member of the Girls Basketball Team at LaCrosse High School.

Miranda helped lead her team to an upset win over Washington Township which broke a 9-game losing streak for the Lady Tigers.  The 5-7 Freshman led her team with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and two 3-pointers.  When the game went into overtime, Wozniak hit 3 of 4 at the free throw line in the extra period to give the visitors a 30-28 win over the Lady Senators, who came into the game with an 8-3 record.  

Miranda is the daughter of Amy and Brian Wozniak and also runs cross country and plays volleyball and softball for the Tigers.   

Congratulations to Miranda Wozniak of LaCrosse High School, our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week.

Miranda will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award and a T-Shirt commemorating her achievement and will be our guest on a future “Saturday Sportsline”.  She’ll also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year Award next Spring which carries with it a beautiful plaque and a college scholarship, compliments of WKVI and the Family of Tyler Roth.
