Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 2-20-2021
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is David Rossa a member of the Boys Swim Team at North Judson-San Pierre High School.
David broke the school record in the backstroke, which had stood for more than forty years! He set the new record in a time of 1:03.14, beating the previous record set in 1980 by Brian McGlaughlin. Just a Sophomore, David saved his best for last as he set the record in the opening round of Sectional competition, which made him the top seed in his heat for the Sectional Finals!
David is the son of Larry Rossa.

David will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award, and a t-shirt commemorating his achievement. In addition, he will be a future guest on the Saturday Sportsline. He will also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year award next Spring which carries with it a beautiful plaque and a college scholarship, compliments of WKVI and the family of Tyler Roth.
