Glenn’s Hannah Named NIC MVP

Brycen Hannah put the finishing touches on a phenomenal high school multi-sport career by being named the Most Valuable Player in the Northern Indiana Conference.

It was announced today that the John Glenn High School senior baseball standout earned the highest individual honor given the NIC.

Hannah, who will continue his baseball career at Indiana Tech next season, hit an eye-opening .561 with 40 RBI this season. Fifteen of his 37 hits were of the extra base variety (10 doubles, three triples and 2 home runs).

When he was on the mound, Hannah, who also played third base, had an ERA of 1.78 and a 4-1 regular-season record.

In 35.1 innings, Hannah struck out 42 batters and walked 16.

Hannah helped lead Glenn to a 21-6 record this season, which included an appearance in the sectional championship game against New Prairie.

The Falcons amassed a stellar record of 74-14 in Hannah’s final three seasons.

In March, Hannah capped off a memorable high school basketball career by leading his Falcons to their first sectional and regional championship titles since 2005. As a result, Hannah was named first-team All-NIC.

Last season on the diamond, Hannah and his Falcons won a sectional title and lost to eventual state champion Andrean in the regional round.

He earned IHSBCA All-State honors both as a sophomore and junior.

Congratulations to Brycen and his family on this latest accolade and on a remarkable high school career!
