Plymouth fourth at Valpo
VALPARAISO — Plymouth’s gymnasts finished fourth at the Valpo Pairs Invitational.
Jersey Hunter had a first-place finish on the vault at 9.1 and sixth on the bars at 7.875. Lila Hanyzewski was fourth on the beam with 8.725 and Arielle Ferman had a pair of sixth-place finishes with an 8.375 in the floor exercise and 8.55 on the vault.
“A great meet for us all around,” said Plymouth coach Amanda Bender. “We had six personal bests out of the 16 routines competed and posted a season-high team total which is incredibly hard to do at a pairs meet when your top girls can’t compete all around. We are excited for our stretch of home meets coming up and look forward to the growth the rest of the season has to offer.”
Plymouth is in action again on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at their own Invitational in the multipurpose gym at Plymouth High School.
