Trojans edged by Valley
MENTONE — Triton jumped to a quick lead but a late comeback wasn’t enough as Tippecanoe Valley took a 6-5 win over the Trojans.
Drew Bingamon had a big night with three hits and three RBIs for Triton. Jacob Pitney was the hard-luck loser going five and one third innings striking out nine.

Softball
Plymouth outhit by South Central
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims took a loss at home on Monday night falling to South Central by an 8-1 final.
Gracie Patrick had a pair of hits including a double and drove home the only Plymouth run in the game.
Kayla Johnson took the loss on the mound.
““We are making the small strides to get better,” said Plymouth head coach John Johnson. “We were almost clean defensively but now we need to get more baserunners and score some runs. Our goal is to be ready for NLC play.”
Plymouth is 0-3 on the year and will be in action again today at home against Triton.
Trojans fall to Valley
MENTONE — Triton lost a tough on at Tippecanoe Valley on Monday by a 6-2 final.
Lena Doll had a big night with two hits driving home the Triton runs and striking out 10 on the mound allowing just two earned runs.
