Falcon frosh soars at Regional
It’s been a long time since our area has seen a high school freshman burst on the scene and make the kind of impact Glenn’s Lydia Goodsell is making.
She’s been nothing short of phenomenal in Year One of her high school career, having an unbelievable month of May.
Last night at the IHSAA Kokomo Track Regional, Goodsell once again didn’t disappoint.
The freshman sensation won the 200 meters with time of 25.90 and finished second in both the 100 meters (12.85) and long jump (18’4″).
As a result of her tremendous showing at Regional, Goodsell punched her ticket to the State Finals May 31 at Indiana University in Bloomington.
No doubt her family better have a large room to display all the hardware she is accumulating. After all, in the last few weeks alone, she has won the Northern Indiana Conference 100, 200 and long jump, and the following week pulled off the same hat trick at Sectional.
And just think, Goodsell is just getting started … oh my!
