He has appeared in seven playoff games so far for Boston.

In 41 total NHL games this season, Lohrei has four goals and nine assists.

Mason grew up in Wisconsin and transferred to Culver Academies after his freshman year in high school.

As a sophomore at Culver, he made the decision to switch from forward to defense in order to get more playing time.

That decision was a wise one to say the least.

In 2020, Lohrei was drafted in the second round by the Bruins.

As a freshman at Ohio State in 2021–22, Lohrei led team with 25 assists en route to being named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team.

He returned to the Buckeyes for the 2022–23 season and finished second on the team in assists, and third in total points, with 28 and 32, respectively. That season Lohrei helped lead the Buckeyes to the NCAA Tournament.

On March 31, 2023, the Providence Bruins announced that they had signed Lohrei to an amateur tryout contract for the remainder of the 2022–23 season, ending his collegiate career.

Lohrei started the 2023–24 season with Providence. However, injuries to the Bruins defense corps caused him to make his NHL debut on November 2, 2023.

Lohrei and the Bruins return to action tomorrow night when they host Florida. You can catch No. 6 in action at 7 p.m. on TNT and TruTV.
