MAX983.net your home for ’24 Plymouth HS football

We are still 10 weeks away from Indiana high school football’s Opening Night, but you know those 70 days will fly by and before we know it another season of gridiron action will be upon us.

And for all the Plymouth Rockie football fans out there, you can rest easy as once again this season Kankakee Valley Broadcasting’s MAX 98.3 FM WYMR will be your home for every Plymouth High School football game during the 2024 season.

MAX will carry every Rockie football tilt on the internet at MAX983.net and two of the games – Sept. 27 at Warsaw & Oct. 18 vs. Concord – will be featured on MAX 98.3 FM as our Game of the Week.

Long-time PHS broadcaster Rusty Nixon will be on the call and Joe McKee will serve as his color analyst.

In addition to all nine regular-season games being on MAX, we will cover all of Plymouth High School’s postseason football games as well.

Coach Adam Handley is entering his third year as the Rockies’ head coach and will be looking to improve on a 2-8 ’23 campaign, which ended with a sectional loss to South Bend Washington.

Several key pieces return for Handley, including senior quarterback Exzander Ramirez (completed 64.8 percent of his passes in ’23 for 1,185 yards with three passing TDs and 10 interceptions. Ramirez led the Rockies in rushing with 723 yards and eight TDs. Junior running back Finnigan Holm is back after running for 677 yards and six scores a year ago. Junior middle linebacker Brady Coffin also returns after averaging a team-best 7.4 tackles per game.

It all kicks off at the Rockpile on Friday Aug. 23 when Class 3A Twin Lakes (which went 5-5 last season) visits.

No one covers PHS football like MAX!

Be sure to check out MAX’s very own Rusty Nixon’s (the Plymouth Pilot News sports editor) coverage of the Rockies in the newspaper and on MAX’s sportstothemax.net website.
