Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears debuts next week

Please forgive Chicago Bears fans if they’re overly giddy these days.

You see Bears Nation is riding high ever since the NFL Draft in April when the Bears used the No. 1 overall pick to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who many believe is the franchise signal caller the organization has never had, and then with the ninth overall pick nabbed ultra-talented Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze.

As if that wasn’t enough, when the popular Hard Knocks: Training Camp show announced earlier this month it would be featuring the Bears, that was icing on the cake for what’s been a dream off-season for Bear faithful.

Yes, Bears fans and football fans everywhere will be getting an inside look at Chicago’s training camp.

Hard Knocks: Training Camp debuts one week from tonight – Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

There will be a total of five episodes, airing every Tuesday at 9 p.m., with the last episode airing Sept. 3. The Bears will open the regular season Sept. 8 against the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. in Soldier Field on FOX.

It’s been a long drought for Chicago. The Bears last appeared in the Super Bowl in the 2006 season when Rex Grossman was their quarterback. Chicago’s lone Super Bowl victory came during the 1985 season thanks to what many regard as the greatest defense in NFL history.

Last season was a disappointment to say the least for the Bears as they finished 7-10 (a last-place tie in the NFC North Division).

However, they got the first pick in the draft thanks to a trade with the Carolina Panthers, who finished with the NFL’s worst record a season ago at 2-15.

Now, the Bears usher in a new era, one that Hard Knocks will detail thoroughly at least through training camp.
