State’s leading scorer to call MUAC home

Argos sharpshooter Sam Redinger will be playing college ball close to home.

Earlier this week, the Dragons’ most prolific scorer in girls basketball announced she will continue her career on the hardwood at Marian University’s Ancilla College.

Redinger capped off a stellar high school career this past season by leading the state in scoring averaging nearly 30 points per game (29.8) en route to garnering All-State recognition.

In high school, Redinger scored 1,283 points, including a career-high 55 points against Oregon-Davis during the 2023-24 season – the 12th-most points in a single game in IHSAA history.

She led Argos to a pair of sectional championship in 2021-22 and 2022-23.

Redinger will be playing for MUAC head coach Ryan Gould. The Chargers went 12-14 last season.
