Plymouth gets shut out win over Twin Lakes
MONTICELLO — Plymouth’s JV football team took an opening night win on the road with a 28-0 score over Twin Lakes.
Ben Shively had three touchdown passes and one rushing for Plymouth. Tatum Woods, Brady Allen, and Caz Hundt had touchdown catches.
“I am extremely proud of the way our guys went out and competed tonight,” said Plymouth coach Benji Nixon. “We struggled to get much movement to start the game up front, but as the game went on our linemen got more and more physical. The heat was a factor tonight with some guys needing some more rest in between plays, but we had players that were ready to step in and do their job which is all that we ask for. Defensively we played very physical and flew around the field. It was a full group effort tonight on defense, with a lot of guys stepping up and making a play when we really needed it.”
Plymouth will be in action again on Saturday with a 10 a.m. kickoff against Columbia City.
