Plymouth runs with Bremen and Glenn
BREMEN — Plymouth XC traveled to Jane’s Park in Bremen Tuesday for a three-way meet with
Plymouth, Bremen, and John Glenn.
Both the Plymouth Boys and Girls got wins tonight against the other teams.
Sophomore Vivy Miller won the girls’ race for Plymouth.
Tennis
Bremen aces Glenn
WALKERTON — The Lions handled the Falcons 5-0 on a steamy night in Walkerton.
Ernesto Pena and Riley Tener won the first-ever varsity matches of their high school careers.
Doubles winners were Micah Porter, Max Barnes, Maddux Hickman, and Riley Tener
Single winners were Chase Devine, Brock Ginter, and Ernesto Pena.
The JV Lions won 3-1. Winners included Henry Varner, Nick Stiles, David Monesmith, Lincoln Heiter, and Leo Cruz (he picked up his first-ever JV win)
The win moves Bremen to 2-2 on the season. The win against the Falcons was the first match for the Lions in the brand-new Indiana Northern State Conference.
Plymouth falls to #12 St. Joe
SOUTH BEND — The Plymouth Boys Tennis Team traveled to Leeper Park Thursday evening to take on the #12 state-ranked team in the state, South Bend St. Joe. Plymouth battled both the heat and strong competition as the Pilgrims fell in straight sets in all the Varsity matches in a 5-0 final.
Zak Kresser was the most competitive match of the night, as he took three games off his opponent in the second set before falling at three singles.
“We schedule teams like St. Joe to be able to play against great competition,” said Plymouth coach Brad Haeck. “We didn’t compete as well on the scorecards as we had hoped tonight, but hopefully playing these quality teams will continue to make us better and see what we have to improve on to play at a higher level.”
Plymouth’s Varsity/JV plays Triton on Wednesday. The Varsity will travel to Triton for their match starting at 4:30 p.m., while the JV team will host Triton for a 4:30 p.m. start at the Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Complex in Plymouth.
Triton takes the win over Washington
SOUTH BEND — Triton boys tennis JV traveled to South Bend Washington and came away with a 4-1 win in the extremely muggy match.

Bremen sweeps Goshen
BREMEN — The Lady Lions swept the Goshen Blue Blazers in three sets 26-24, 25-16, 25-19.
Contributions were made offensively by Eliana Grubbs and Teagan Feathers. Kinsey Greenwalt contributed with several digs and assists from the back row.
Serving by Chloe Craft helped the Lady Lions to take the lead in set one. The Lady Lions will take the floor again Tuesday evening.

KNOX — Knox’ girls golf team took a win over Triton and Glenn. Team scores: Knox 199, Triton 232, Glenn 234.
Triton was led by Chloe McKinney with 49, Sydney Heckaman 57, Brooke Kitch 60, Alex Balsley 66, and Morgan Heckaman 69.
Glenn’s Bri Wolff had a 42 followed by Hazel Peterson with a 58, Olivia Ramsey 63, Bella Powers 71, and Reese Blair 72.

CULVER — Culver’s girls soccer team took a 4-2 win over Covenant Christian.
Ava McCune had the hat trick for the Lady Cavs with three first-half goals.

Argos fall to Jimtown
ARGOS — The Argos Lady Dragons hosted Northern Indiana State Conference opponent Jimtown Thursday night taking a 4-1 loss.
Jimtown scored twice in the first half and again at the beginning of the second half before Argos’ Hayna Willis chipped the Jimtown keeper to bring the score to 1-3.
Jimtown scored a fourth and final goal with 15 minutes to go.
The Dragons were able to outshoot Jimtown 24 to 7.
The Lady Dragon defense of Leah Pizzuto, Avarie Hines, and Ivy Stackhouse anchored the Dragons to keep scoring and opportunities alive.
Argos slides to 0-2-1 and will hit the road Tuesday as they make their way to Hoosier North Athletic Conference opponent Oregon-Davis.

Plymouth beaten by St. Joe
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth freshman Rockies took a 42-14 loss to St. Joe.
Christian Cruz-Mahler and Brody Lebo had rushing touchdowns for Plymouth
