MAX’s Top Area HS Football Performers Week #5

Triton, Plymouth and Culver Academy were all winners in Week #4 in high school football action.

The Rockies improved to 3-2 on the season by blanking visiting Wawasee 30-0.

Triton ran its record to 4-1 after a shutout win at Winamac.

And Culver Academy moved to 4-1 after a seven-point road victory against Hammond Central.

The Eagles will look to keep rolling when they host Kankakee Valley in rare Thursday night game. That contest will be the MAX Game of the Week and air on MAX 98.3 FM WYMR, beginning at 6 p.m.

Triton will have its work cut out this week as it hosts undefeated and top-ranked North Judson.

Plymouth also has a tough one as it travels to No. 5 Warsaw (3-2). Keep in mind the Tigers’ two losses have come to undefeated Warren Central and undefeated Concord. Warren Central is ranked No. 3 in Class 6A, while Concord is ranked fourth in 5A.

The Plymouth game will be our other MAX Game of the Week this week. It will also air on MAX 98.3 FM WYMR, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be replayed on MAX 98.3 FM Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, Bremen and Glenn will meet in an Indiana Northern State Conference game with both looking to break losing streaks. The Lions have dropped two in a row, being outscored 49-19. The Falcons have lost three straight, having scored just 29 points combined in those three tilts.

Culver will look to notch its second win of the season when it hosts 1-4 Caston.

And LaVille hopes to get back to .500, but it will have to do so with a win at Knox. The Redskins have won two straight games, allowing a total of 10 points the last two weeks.
