Chargers blitz Bosco Institute

PLYMOUTH — The Marian University Ancilla Men’s Basketball team played one last non-conference game before they break for final exams next week, knocking off the Bosco Institute 91-45 at the LifePlex Wednesday evening. The Dons are a prep school team constructed of 5th Year Seniors looking to play a competitive schedule and draw more attention to their recruiting.

The Chargers were in complete control throughout the game, and the bench provide just over half (46 points) of their 91 points. Redshirt Freshman guard Kenneth Grant entered the game and poured in 27 points on 9-14 from long range. Sophomore Dante Porch was again solid off the bench, with 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort.

Freshman guard Jordan Woods tallied a nice all-around game, posting a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds, plus he added 5 assists and 3 steals. Sophomore Jayden Sanders (12 points) also scored in double digits, and he added 8 rebounds. Freshman Matt King contributed 9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in the victory.

The Chargers now get nearly two weeks between games, as they buckle down and take final exams December 9th through the 13th. They return to action on Tuesday, December 17th, when they head to Oakland Community College for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
