Lady Pilgrims take tough loss in final
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims made a comeback but fell just short in the finals of the First Source Bank Holiday Tournament to Portage 42-39.
Plymouth struggled in the second quarter after playing to a tie in the first quarter, going in at halftime 28-18.
Out of the break, Plymouth held the Indians to just 14 points but could never take back the lead.
Plymouth had good looks in the fourth quarter, down just two points but couldn’t get enough shots to fall.
Plymouth was led by Chloe Horton with 10 points and five rebounds. Lena Jones added eight points, four assists, and six rebounds, with Sophie Miller scoring seven with five boards and Mady Sullivan picking up six points with three assists and rebounds.
Plymouth is now 8-6 on the year and will take on Rochester at home on January 8.
