Plymouth gymnasts third at LaPorte

LaPORTE — Plymouth’s gymnastics team jumped into the new season with a third-place finish at the LaPorte Pairs match.

“The girls came out of the gate strong to give us a great kickoff to the season,” said Plymouth coach Amanda Bender. “Mia Krathwohl being able to step in and deliver a no-fall beam routine to lead off the meet set the tone for the day, leading to multiple top 6 event finishes and individual PRs.”
Plymouth was led by Arielle Ferman with a first-place finish in the vault and Jersey Hunter with a second place in the floor. Jenna Blake had a third in the vault. Susie Everett was fifth in the beam and vault, Damaris Aguilar fifth in the floor and Lilly Hanyzewski sixth in the floor.
Plymouth will be in action next at the Elkhart Holiday Invitational on Saturday beginning at noon.
