Plymouth wrestlers fall to Rochester

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth Rockies fall to 1-1 after their dual with Rochester Wednesday night at home 48-29.
The night started off at 113lbs with Rockie Junior Caleb Jones receiving a forfeit, followed by Plymouth Sophomore Jesse Allmon at 120.
Junior Coen Kraemer snatched a first-period pin for six points, making the score 18-0 in Plymouth’s favor.
Rochester got a pin of their own at 132lbs.
Senior Chris Firebaugh quickly picked up a tech fall 15-0 in the first period, followed by senior Braxton Whites first-period pinfall, making the score 29-6.
Rochester picked up pin falls of their own at 150, 157, 165, and 175, making the score 30-29 with Rochester taking the lead.
After some hiccups in the lineup, Plymouth had to forfeit 190, 215, and Heavyweight. With a double forfeit at 106, the match concluded with Rochester winning 48-29.
Plymouth boys varsity will wrestle at home on Saturday in the Bob Read Classic.
Plymouth girls varsity will wrestle at New Prairie on Saturday in a single dual.
