Weiss named women’s soccer head coach
DONALDSON — Coach Kirk Weiss, a 2013 graduate of Ancilla College, has been named the new Head Coach for Women’s Soccer at Marian University Ancilla.
Weiss currently serves as the Head Coach for men’s soccer as well, having led his team to a 12-5 record and the Regional Tournament in the Fall of 2024.
His connection with the MUAC Athletic Department began in 2008 when he accepted the assistant coaching position with the Men’s program. He spent three seasons on the sideline as the assistant coach, and during that time he was also an assistant coach for the Marian Ancilla men’s basketball program, spanning five seasons.
Weiss has a long connection with the university and is excited to get to work creating the same success in Women’s Soccer as in his Men’s program.
“I’m honored to be tabbed to run both the Women’s and Men’s programs,” he said. “Over the last two years, we have been able to build up the Men’s team and have them back near the top of the conference, so we will use that as the blueprint for the Women’s team. It is of great importance to have women’s soccer in the Charger Athletic Department, and I look forward to building a competitive roster while leading them into the future.”
Weiss is a graduate of LaVille High School in nearby Lakeville, Indiana. His degree from Ancilla College is in Science-Business Administration. He and his wife, Dianna, met while both coaching at Ancilla College. The couple has five daughters: Kailyn, Cierra, Katlyn, Kiley, and Kelsi, as well as three grandchildren, Henry, Claire, and Jennings.
