Valley pushes past Plymouth
PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Pilgrims were on the wrong end of a 54-47 home loss to Tippecanoe Valley on Friday.
The Pilgrims led at half but couldn’t hold on giving up 21 points in the fourth quarter to the Vikings.
“Proud of the effort and fight from our boys tonight,” said Plymouth head coach Greg Miller. “Rebounding ended up being the difference in the game vs a physical Valley team. We struggled on the glass and gave up too many second-chance points to capitalize on stops.”
Plymouth was led by Preston Wolfe with 14 points, Trent Van Duyne had 13 and Kadyn Ellery had eight.
Plymouth’s JV lost a heartbreaker 30-29 to Valley. Grayson Terrone had eight points and Parker Wolfe seven to lead Plymouth. They are now 4-5 on the season.
The varsity is now 5-5 on the year and will be at home Friday in an NLC contest with Mishawaka.
