Records fall in Lions sectional swim

BREMEN — The finals of the boy’s sectional mee saw many personal records fall.
The evening started with a tremendous swim by the 200 medley relay team of Sean Clark, Blake Grove, Hunter Cannon, and Sawyer Miller, with a drop of more than 7 seconds in their best time for a 5th place finish at 1:53.61.
Sawyer Miller shattered the 2-minute barrier in the 200 Freestyle event for a 6th place finish (1:59.27), while George Luna placed 14th with his 2-second drop (2:14.03)
Lincoln Heiter won his heat in the 200 I.M. with an impressive time of 2:34.63.
Great swims continued for the Lions, with Blake Grove finishing 5th in the 50 Freestyle (22.36) and Hunter Cannon winning his heat in the same event (24.25)
Hunter Cannon dropped 6 seconds for a 5th place finish in the 100y Butterfly (1:00.36), Lincoln Heiter dropped over 4 seconds in the 100 Butterfly for an 11th place finish (1:12.40)
Sawyer Miller had an impressive swim in the 500 Freestyle to place 6th (5:33.30), while George Luna was given the challenge that if he went under 6 minutes, he would shave his head. George really wanted to shave his head because he swam a 5:58.16 to win his heat.
The team of Lincoln Heiter, Hunter Cannon, Blake Grove, and Sawyer Miller placed 6th in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a 3-second drop-in time of 1:40.47.
The Lions dominated the B finals in the 100y Backstroke with 3 future stars in Sean Clark (1:18.36), Graham Ferguson (1:18.83), and Jancarlo Deleon (1:28.18)
Blake Grove had a strong 100 Breastroke swim with a 4th place finish in (1:01.21), while Scott Wesner battled a knee injury to place 14th in (1:25.40)
The night ended with another drop-in time, this time 5 seconds in the 400 Freestyle Relay with George Luna, Sean Clark, Aaron Nettrouer, and Nick Stiles taking a 4th place finish in 4:07.96
Bremen placed 5th with 206 points.
