Watson Named Player of the Week
DONALDSON — For the first time this season and the third time in her career, Marian University Ancilla Women’s Basketball player De’Mour Watson was named MCCAA Western Division Player of the Week. In three wins last week, Watson averaged 18.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 60 percent from the field.
The 5-10 Sophomore is just a year removed from an unfortunate knee injury that cost her games to finish the 2023-2024 season and to begin the 2024-2025 season. Watson came to the Chargers after a stellar career at Elkhart High School.
