Red Storm track competes at the middle school state meet

TERRE HAUTE — The Plymouth Lincoln Jr. High Red Storm track team took part in the middle school state meet in Terre Haute.

Tayveon Warner kicked things off in the boys’ discus as he threw a new school record toss of 147 feet, 3 inches, which took 6th place on the day, garnering a medal.
The girls’ sprint medley relay team of Iyani Terrones, Brianna Butcher, Hayden Shipley, and Ryleigh Schadek ran in the fast heat as the ninth seed. The girls passed the baton and cut six seconds off their previous season best to earn a fourth-place finish and were medalists on the podium.
Spencer Goebel traveled in from Michigan following a travel baseball matchup on Friday night and competed in a very stellar sprint field, running under 12 seconds in the 100m and running hard in the open 200m dash. Hayden Shipley also ran in the 100m and 200m dashes and put up some solid times.
