Bremen runners compete at state indoor meet
INDIANAPOLIS — The Bremen Boys Track and Field team was represented by the 4×800 relay team at the Hoosier State Relays on Saturday evening.
The event is the state indoor track meet which is separated into two classes, 1-3A and 4-6A, with Bremen competing in the 1-3A group. To qualify for the state indoor meet, teams must compete at a registered qualification indoor meet during the first 3 weeks of the season and declare as one of the top 24 teams in the state. The meet is hosted at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion on the State Fair Grounds.
The relay team was composed of senior Ben Brady, freshman Lincoln Yoder, sophomore Jack Kincaid, and freshman Espen Simpson. The team ran their best overall time of the season thus far with a 9:01.77. Yoder and Kincaid both posted PR splits on the day as well.
The boys will get another big test today as they head to Northridge for a triangular meet with the Raiders and Westview. Field events start at 5:30 pm with running at 6 pm.
