John Glenn seasons ends with a tough opening round loss to the Knights

Some called the Sectional 25 game, a “Championhship” caliber match-up between the John Glenn Falcons and Mishawaka Marian.  By games end, Mishawaka Marian proved to be the better team with a 35-14 win over the Falcons.

The key play in the ballgame came near the end on the 1st half, when Knights return man, Ricky Entzian got a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown with eight seconds left before before half that not only answered a John Glenn score, but proved to be the game-winning touchdown for the hosts.

It was all about ball possession in the second half, and Mishawaka Marian had it.  When Glenn had the ball, they tried to establish a running game, but was forced more to throw in the end which ultimately kept the Falcons from getting back in the game.

Falcon receiver Jake Strong caught five passes for 105 yards, but again, the passing game wasn’t the way the Falcons wanted to move the ball.
