Girls B-ball: Triton wins big in NSC opener
BOURBON – The Triton girls basketball squad started conference action Saturday night. And before the start of the second quarter, Triton was in command of the game and an eventual 55-42 victory over Knox.
It was the conference opener for both teams at Bourbon.
A 20-2 lead into the 2nd quarter indicated that Triton never needed to look back.
Kylie Mason led Triton with 17 points. The talented guard knocked down 5 three-pointers and completed the double-double performance with 10 rebounds.
Jaela Meister and Lauren Hostrawser each scored eight points and Krystal Sellers had seven for the Trojans.
Triton improves to 6-2 with its 3rd straight win, thanks to 9 three-pointers in the win.
Knox falls to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the NSC.
Triton’s next game is a trip to Tippecanoe Valley Wednesday.
Knox hosts Oregon-Davis Dec. 12.
