Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Derek Dotlich, a member of the Boys Basketball team at Winamac High School.

Derek helped lead his team to a Sectional Championship and proved to be the most consistent player for the Warriors in the Regional loss to LaVille.

The 6-3 junior started the Sectional with a double-double, scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds in a 77-55 win over Delphi. He followed that with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. His biggest play came with 1.5 seconds remaining to give the Warriors the lead on their way to a 54-50 overtime win. Derek followed that performance with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in the Regional loss.

Derek is the son of Trent and Kristen Dotlich.
