8-25-18 Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week

Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Kyle Schmack, a member of the Football Team at South Central High School.

Kyle led his team to a come-from-behind win on the road against a Culver team which led until the final seconds of the game. The 6-3, 235 pound quarterback rushed for 114 yards on 13 carries, scoring 4 touchdowns. He also was 9-for-24 passing for 148 yards and another TD.

With his team trailing by 12 with less than 4 minutes to go, the veteran Senior scored on runs of 1 and 2 yards with his final TD coming from one yard out with just 33 seconds left in the game.

A 4-year letterwinner, Kyle also helped his school’s baseball team to back-to-back Sectional championships. An outstanding student, he is also a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Club.

Kyle is the son of Brian and Carrie Schmack.
