Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week 11-16-19
Our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Week for this week is Preston Minix, a ember of the Girls Basketball Team at Knox High School.
Preston led her team to an upset win over the Morgan Township Lady Cherokees, who were ranked 5th in Class 1A according to the Indiana Coaches Poll. The 5’7 Junior hit five 3-pointers to baffle the Cherokee defense all night. In a season filled with question marks after losing key Seniors to graduation, the win over a highly ranked team sent an early season signal to future opponents, as the Lady Redskins started the season with a 3-0 record, their best start in 13 years!
Preston is the daughter of Tara and Neill Minix.

Preston will receive a certificate suitable for framing, a history of the award, a t-shirt commemorating her achievement, and a free pizza compliments of Momma’s Pizzeria. She will also be a future guest on the Saturday Sportsline. Preston will also be eligible for our Tyler Roth/WKVI Athlete of the Year Award next Spring, which carries with it a beautiful plaque and a college scholarship, compliments of WKVI and the Family of Tyler Roth.
