With their win on Wednesday, the Lady Cavs have now won back-to-back games to improve to an even 8-8 on the year!
The first half would be a challenge for the Cavaliers, as Frontier was able to convert on a good amount of scoring opportunities, Tammy Shedrow’s crew was able to answer every challenge presented to them by the Lady Falcons. Culver would find five different individuals in the scoring column by the end of the first half, with Junior Maddie Shedrow leading the charge with a team-high 9 first half points.
Rebounding would end up being the biggest difference in the ballgame, as the Lady Cavaliers would out-rebound the Lady Falcons 41-24. Senior Sarah Walters would have a game-high 13 rebounds, as she would be seen time and time again, crashing the offensive and defensive glass as if she were a bull in a china shop.

At game’s end, the Lady Cavaliers were able to put together a high-energy game, with a level of intensity Frontier was unable to keep up with for an entire game. 5’7 Sophomore Emma Blissett would lead all scorers with a game-high 15 points in the effort, scoring 10 of her 15 in the first half for the Lady Falcons. Maddie Shedrow’s 13 points and 6 rebounds would earn her the Ashley Derrickson/Five Star Player of the Game on WKVI. Shedrow’s second 3-point field goal would also earn the honor of the Stark County Co-Op Play of the Game.
